Newport, RI Travel Guide
With an upcoming bachelorette party in Newport and a few recent trips, I knew I had to get the guide out before the end of summer. Newport is a short trip from Boston with ocean views, beaches, mansions and killer cocktails. I think my favorite thing about Newport is the array of local vineyards in the area as well, perfect for a tour, a tasting, or a bottle and a picnic. The weather in Newport, RI is stunning in the summer, but while pretty in the winter, there’s not as much to do.

Top of Newport - Rooftop of Hotel Viking; great views and drinks.
Pineapple’s - No trip to Newport is complete without a stop over to Goat Island to visit Guerney’s and say hi to the resident goats. Enjoy a waterfront drink at Pineapple’s.
The Landing - If you’re looking for drinks and dancing, this is a fun indoor/outdoor spot. Be prepared as there is typically a cover on weekends.
Newport Vineyard - Gorgeous vineyard with a brewery and restaurant as well. Great place to spend a half day, with something for everyone. Insta worthy bachelorette party pics can be taking between the vines.
Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyard - Typically less crowded than Newport Vineyard but just as good.
The Wharf Pub - Patio for drink in the middle of downtown, great pre-dinner spot.
There are so many great spots with a view in Newport that you can stop in and have a drink at. I recommend making your own bar crawl to try them all, an especially great idea for a bachelorette party in Newport.

Where to Stay in Newport, RI
While there are a lot of amazing luxury hotels in Newport, RI, but I really enjoyed the Inns on Bellevue, which had great prices, free breakfast and a central location, but an Airbnb is also a reasonably priced option, and especially good for large groups and bachelorette parties. If you want something a little more upscale, try Hotel Viking or Guerney’s for a splurge.
